 "Extremism originated from misinterpreting Islam"

"According to divine teachings, there's a way to establish a new world order based on an original civilization and constructive dialogues." said the secretary of the scientific commission of the International conference of cultural dialogues between Iran and the Arab.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at the international conference on cultural dialogues between Iran and the Arab world which was held in the Iranian city of Qom on January 22, Hujjat al-Islam Mortadha Javadi Amoli, a senior Shia cleric  remarked, " We hope that this conference would pave the way for boosting the international relations among Muslim countries based on the genuine divine teachings of Islam and Islamic traditions.The ongoing dialogues can provide a basis to increase mutual understanding among the parties involved in order to reach a scientific and practical solution to bring about rational and moderate views throughout the Islamic world."

 

He added, "Today, the international ties within the Islamic world, particularly Iran's ties with some Arab nations are suffering from lack of a rational and moderate attitude; such situation cannot be accepted given the ancient history and rich culture of these great Muslim nations."

 

Elsewhere in his remarks, Head of Isra International Foundation pointed out the dangers of spreading radical and extremist thoughts in the region adding, "Most of the extremist and violent atrocities carried out in the region are caused due to the misinterpretations of Islam and its divine teachings; holding such international conferences can furnish the ground for developing multilateral dialogues among Islamic nations and help reach a mutual understanding between Muslim societies, especially between Iran and the Arab world; It can speed up the process of confronting radical movements in the region."
